Artist's Comments

This is some makeup work I did last year for a good friend of mine, Christel Edwards. Christel and I became friends while working as makeup artists for the legendary Rocky Point Haunted House in Salt Lake City. Christel is a very talented model, and we decided to collaborate on a monster makeup job. The makeup took about 7 hours to complete, and once it was done, Christel had a couple of top notch photographers take pictures of her in various places around downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. This photo was taken by Renee Lee. I also took a few photos, but mine were pretty lame by comparison, so I have been wanting to post these great shots as they show much more of the detail that went into this makeup. Thanks to Christel and Renee for letting me use these photos. This was a great project, and there will be more to come soon!

Daily DeviationI stumbled upon Christel Death Revisited by ~Mr-Mordacious on the front page, and was instantly blown away by the great attention to detail (the glimpse of ribcage is amazing!) and how well everything fits with the body, even in a twisted position like that. A tour through this gallery told me this is pro work you'll definitely don't want to miss. (Featured by ^stigmatattoo)

Wow, man I thought this was a photoshop job but upon reading your description, well just wow.
Its amazing how you've managed to make the bones look like their actually there, poking out, specially the cheek bones and ribs.
